Afghanistan-Pakistan-Russia trilateral meeting held in Yekaterinburg
The Presidents of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Russia Tuesday during a trilateral meeting convened in the margins of Shanghai Cooperation Organization vowed that they would join their efforts in the fight against terrorism, and bringing peace, stability and prosperity to the region.
The leaders of the three countries during the meeting stressed the need for expanded regional cooperation in the fight against terrorism, and said that besides Shanghai Cooperation Organization trilateral mechanisms were also needed for increased effectiveness in the fight against terrorism.
President Karzai said at the meeting that effective cooperation through trilateral mechanisms would serve the interest of the three nations and help in solving the problems of the three countries.
