May 2, 2012- President Hamid Karzai met Tuesday with the US Senate Delegation led by Carl Levin, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
During the meeting held in the Presidential Palace, both sides exchanged views on the continued equipping and training of Afghan security forces, US cooperation with Afghanistan beyond 2014 and the Afghan peace process.
The two sides also discussed the need for further equipping and training of Afghan Border Protection Forces.
The Senate delegation termed the Afghan-US strategic partnership agreement a great success for the two countries.
