President Karzai Strongly Condemns Suicide Attack in Kandahar Province

2 July, 2012- President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the terrorist attack that killed and injured a number of innocent people in Kandahar province.

According to Kandahar Governor’s Office, a car full of explosives detonated by terrorists on Monday near Kandahar University in Kandahar city, leaving 7 civilians dead and 23 others wounded.

Denouncing the attack in the strongest possible terms, President Karzai said, “Foreign mercenaries once again committed an unforgivable crime of killing Afghans and creating insecurity in Afghanistan.”

The President added, “Enemies of the people of Afghanistan must know that by killing our innocent people, they will never reach their evil ideals.”

President Karzai offered his deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims, prayed for their long forbearance and wished rapid recovery for the wounded.
