President Karzai Terms the Killing of A Woman in Parwan Province A Heinous And Unforgivable Crime

July 9, 2012 - President Hamid Karzai strongly denounced the killing of a woman who was shot to death in Ghorband district of Parwan province and termed the act a heinous and unforgivable crime.

Recently, a number of criminals shot, in public, a woman to death in Shinwari area of Ghorband district of Parwan province. The shooting footage unveiled another formidable crime committed in the country, where the people of Afghanistan wished not to see such acts repeated after collapse of the Taliban regime.

Condemning the act in the strongest possible terms, the President said, “The murder of a woman who has had no voice to raise for her self-defense against the weapon and brutality of a number of criminals is a clear symbol of the cowardice and wickedness of her murderers”. He added, “ Such a crime is unforgivable in the sacred religion of Islam and the laws of the country”.

Having found about the crime, the President, who is currently on a visit to Japan, instructed the security officials not to spare any efforts in arresting and punishing the perpetrators.
