October 29 2011 - President Hamid Karzai has sent a congratulatory message to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on naming Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz as crown prince and deputy premier.
In the message, the President, on behalf of the people of Afghanistan, has congratulated Prince Naif and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia on the new Crown Prince and wished him success.
The President said “I am confident that with experience and the ability you have demonstrated in your previous responsibilities, you will have continued success in your new appointment.”
While we remain grateful for all the assistance and help your great country has given to Afghanistan in all the areas, we are sure that your new appointment would prove valuable in further advancing this aim.
We in Afghanistan wish you good health and continued success and prosperity for your country.
