President Zardari Calls President Karzai to Condemn Terrorist Attacks in Afghanistan

April 18, 2012 - Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari telephoned President Hamid Karzai on Wednesday evening to express condolences and share grief on the loss of innocent lives in the recent terrorist attacks in the country. “On behalf of the people of Pakistan, I express my deepest condolences over the death and injury of a number of innocent people in the terrorist attacks in Kabul, Jalalabad, Logar and Paktia provinces. The government and people of Pakistan share the grief and stand with the people of Afghanistan.” President Zardari said.
President Karzai thanked President Zardari for his gesture and described terrorism a common threat that the two neighbors had been facing and stressed on the need for an enhanced cooperation to jointly combat the menace, responsible for countless miseries for the two nations.
