President Karzai Orders Probe into Civilian Casualties in Paktia

May 27, 2012 - President Hamid Karzai has assigned a delegation to investigate the reports of civilian casualties resulted by a NATO air bombing in the province of Paktia.
Immediately after finding out on civilian casualties in a NATO air bombardment in the Gerdi Serai district in Paktia province, the President assigned a delegation to fully and closely investigate the incident and report back in the soonest.
As per the information provided by the Office of Paktia Governor, eight members of a single family were killed in an air strike carried out by NATO forces in Sori Khel village of Gardi Serai district in Paktia province.
