Presidential Palace, Kabul: The Taliban once again unveiled their atrocious attitude and perpetrated a crime against humanity. They murdered Abdul Samad Amiri, acting provincial chief of Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission in Ghor after abducting him on Kabul-Ghor Highway.
Abdul Samad Amiri was a prominent human rights advocate and made immense efforts to ensure human rights in Afghanistan. His assassination is a clear indication of Taliban’s disregard for human rights principles.
President Ashraf Ghani conveyed his deepest sympathies to the family and colleagues of Abdul Samad Amiri and ordered the relevant authorities to sternly investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.
