President Ghani accepts credentials of the new Ambassador of South Korea to Afghanistan

The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani accepted the credentials of the new ambassador of South Korea to Afghanistan Rhee Zha Hyoung, during a ceremonial guard of honor held in the Presidential Palace Thursday morning.

Foreign minister Salahudin Rabbani also attended the ceremony where ambassador Rhee handed over his credentials to President Ghani. Both sides talked over strengthening mutual relations.

The President thanked the Government of South Korea for aiding Afghanistan with technical education, underlining that Afghanistan has usefully benefited from the experiences of South Korea in its development arena.

Ambassador Rhee expressed delight over his posting in Afghanistan. He said that he will focus on bolstering Afghan-South Korean relations during his mission.
