President Ghani Leaves For India

Arg, Kabul: The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, who is joined by a senior government delegation, departed on a one-day official visit to New Delhi the capital of India, Tuesday morning.

The President is scheduled to separately meet Indian president Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi where they will discuss expansion of bilateral ties and cooperation in different realms of development.

President Ghani is also expected to deliver a speech in Vivekananda International Foundation this afternoon in New Delhi.

The President is accompanied by Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani, National Security Advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar, acting minister of mines and petroleum Nargis Nehan, Chief of Staff Abdul Salaam Rahimi, advisors to the President Ajmal Ahmadi, Farkhunda Zahra Nadiri and Shaharzad Akbar and deputy chief of staff for strategic communication and media Mohammad Haroon Chakhansuri.
