President Ghani accepts credentials of the new Indian ambassador to Afghanistan

The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani accepted the credentials of new ambassador of India to Kabul Vinay Kumar during a ceremonial guard of honor held in the Presidential Palace today morning.

Both sides discussed expansion of mutual relations and cooperation in different spheres.

Alluding to Afghanistan-India friendly relations, President Ghani said, “India is a good and strategic friend of Afghanistan.” The President wished Ambassador Kumar further success in his new capacity in Afghanistan.

Vinay Kumar evincing delight over his posting in Afghanistan remarked that Afghanistan and India are enjoying friendly ties and wide-ranging cooperation more than ever. He assured that he will strive to bolster Afghan-Indian ties and cooperation during his mission.
