President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’s decree on assigning delegation to probe general status of Herat Province

Based on the president’s decree, appointment of a delegation is approved to fully probe and evaluate current status of Herat province and retrieve opinions of local officials, people’s representatives, tribal figures, religious scholars, civil society and Herat’s elites. The delegation under leadership of Mr. Hamidullah Farooqi includes following members:

1. Ms. Najla Yusofi Dehqan Nezhad, Herat’s MP at the House of People;
2. Ms. Rahima Jami, Herat’s MP at the House of People;
3. Mr. Ghulam Farooq Nazari, Herat’s MP at the House of People;
4. Mr. Ahmad Farhad Majidi, Herat’s MP at the House of People;
5. Mr. Monawar Shah Bahadori, Herat’s MP at the House of People;
6. Mr. Mohammad Reza Khoshak Watandost, Herat’s MP at the House of People;
7. Mr. Khalil Ahmad Shahidzada, Herat’s MP at the House of People;
8. Esteemed General Esmatullah Alizai, Ministry of Interior Affairs’ representative;
9. Major General Jan Khan, Director of Policy and Planning, Ministry of Defense;
10. Mr. Habib Khan, National Directorate of Security’s representative;
11. Mr. Abdul Ghyas Wardak, Independent Directorate of Local Governance’s representative; and
12. Mr. Mawlawi Ghoryani, religious scholar and tribal figure.

The delegation is assigned to fully probe general status of Herat province including local offices’ performance, security matters and living condition of people after a comprehensive, precise and realistic review, and submit their report to the president of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan within one week.
