President Ghani accepts accreditation of the new Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan

The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani accepted the credential of the new ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Afghanistan Liu Jinsong during a ceremonial guard of honor which was organized here in the Presidential Palace, Monday morning.

Handing over his credential to the President, ambassador Liu passed along greetings of the Chinese leadership to President Ghani and expressed delight over commencement of his mission in Afghanistan.

President Ghani described China as a friend and lasting partner of Afghanistan and congratulated ambassador Liu on his new posting. The President thanked the Chinese government for supporting and assisting Afghanistan in different spheres of development.

The President hoped that the Afghan-Chinese relations will be further expanded, investment and economic opportunities will be better facilitated during the tenure of ambassador Liu.

Ambassador Liu reaffirmed that the Government of People’s Republic of China will continue supporting the people and Government of Afghanistan, stressing that he will not spare any effort in bolstering mutual relations between the two countries.
