The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani accepted the credential of the new Turkish ambassador to Afghanistan Oğuzhan Ertuğrul, Tuesday morning, Presidential Palace.
Handing over his credential to the President, ambassador Ertuğrul conveyed greetings of the Turkish government leadership to President Ghani. He expressed delight over commencement of his mission here in Afghanistan.
Ambassador Ertuğrul affirmed that Turkey will continue supporting and assisting Afghanistan in different realms. He assured the President that he will strive to enhance and strengthen the relations and ties between the two countries.
Highlighting one of the priorities in his mission, Ambassador Ertuğrul said that one of his key priority focuses is to persuade Turkish companies to invest in Afghanistan.
President Ghani congratulated ambassador Ertuğrul on embarking on his new mission. The President appreciated the Turkish Government for having helped Afghanistan in several spheres such as security, economy and education.
Terming Turkey as a friend and lasting partner of Afghanistan, the President hoped that the Afghan-Turkish relations will be further bolstered under the new ambassador.
