President Ghani chairs National Security Council meeting

The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani presided over a meeting of National Security Council, Tuesday morning.

The security situation across the country was assessed. Directions on security improvement and uprooting security threats were issued.

The situation of detention centers in Parwan and other parts of the country was reviewed. Instructions were given on upgrading situation of these detention centers.

The Attorney General Farid Hamidi briefed the participants about investigation report of last week’s terror attacks in Kabul. Relevant decisions were made.

The Director-General of NDS Mohammad Masoom Stanikzai updated the participants on the fresh progress made in investigation of last year’s terror attack in Kandahar governor’s office. Instructions were issued in this regard.
