Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met separately with Kazakhstan Education and Science Minister and Sri Lanka Urban Development Minister, who were in Kabul to attend the swear in ceremony of the new President.
The Education and Science Minister of Kazakhstan conveyed his President’s best wishes and congratulations to President Ghani and wished peace and stability for Afghanistan.
President Ghani thanked the minister for his country’s cooperation to Afghanistan particularly in the field of education and higher education, and asked for Kazakhstan’s cooperation in mining sector as this country has rich experiences.
In a separate meeting with Sri Lanka Urban Development Minister, ways of expanding bilateral cooperation was discussed.
Expressing Sri Lankan President’s best wishes and felicitations to President Ghani, Mr. Fawzi said that his President wishes to pay an official visit to Afghanistan.
Welcoming Sri Lanka President’s visit to Afghanistan, President Ghani thanked and appreciated Sri Lanka’s assistance and cooperation, specifically with Cricket and Football teams and training of Afghan medical staff.
