Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, met yesterday with the European Union Ambassadors to Kabul.
In this meeting that took place in Arg, the EU Ambassadors congratulated the President on his election and the establishment of National Unity Government.
The ambassadors also praised the government’s recent measures of fighting corruption and improving security in the country.
Discussing the ways of further expanding the Afghan-EU relations, the ambassadors expressed their commitment to continue cooperation and assistance with Afghanistan.
The President talked about the future plans of the government for better governance, and improvement of security, political and economic situation in the country.
Thanking the EU cooperation and assistances to Afghanistan over the past 13 years, President Ghani hoped for further cooperation of the EU based on the priorities of Afghanistan government and in an organized manner.
