President Ashraf Ghani met on Monday with the Indian Vice-president, Hamid Ansari.
The bilateral meeting was held at the Presidential Palace, where the two sides discussed ways to continue and further enhance sincere cooperation and relations between the two countries.
Ansari congratulated Ashraf Ghani on his election as the President of Afghanistan and wished him further success.
The President then thanked India for the support and cooperation that it has delivered to Afghanistan within the past years, asking for its continuation.
The President also described the relations between the two countries as historic, deep and friendly.
